This anthology issue contains three crime case stories. "True Confession of a Girl Gangleader" depicts a confrontation involving accusations of an accident and gunfire. "The Lincoln Tomb Thieves" recounts a plot to steal Abraham Lincoln's casket from its Springfield resting place, with Secret Service Agent Roy Allen tracking the criminals in November 1876 and apprehending one of the fugitives, Billy Daniels. The final story, "Counterfeit Case," details prison inmates who organized a counterfeiting ring, with convicts confessing to engraving counterfeit plates and smuggling queer money to their associates outside prison walls.
