Justice League Task Force #5

Part of DC's sweeping 1993 "Knightquest: The Search" crossover, this issue drops the Justice League Task Force into a Caribbean setting that's anything but a vacation — a massive swarm of bats darkens the sky as Green Arrow draws his bow, a woman in gold bracelets takes aim alongside him, and two more teammates brace themselves on what appears to be a moving vehicle. The cover by Sal Velluto and Jeff Albrecht crackles with forward momentum, the whole team clearly charging headlong into whatever danger the tagline "Death in the Caribbean!" promises. It's a tightly composed action piece that makes a strong case for this underrated title's place within one of Batman's most ambitious 1993 storylines.
