Gypsy has been attacked by von Maulder, who has invaded her mind, forcing hallucinations on her and insisting that they are meant to be together forever. She still manages to overcome him and breaks free of his control. L-Ron and Ray find von Maulder's dead body back in his coffin. Later, J'onn explains to Gypsy that she had to confront von Maulder herself to be finally rid of him and that he hopes she will rejoin the team in their new headquarters.
