Justice League of America Sonderband #3
In "Die Lightning Saga, Kapitel 1: Lightning Lad," the Justice League and Justice Society engage in tactical exercises when Batman and Black Lightning uncover a startling link: Starman, a new JSA recruit, is also a lost member of the Legion of Super-Heroes—part of a group of five Legionnaires mysteriously stranded in the present. With the combined forces split into smaller teams, Black Canary and Power Girl lead the search to track down the missing heroes before time and chaos unravel further.
In "Die Lightning Saga, Kapitel 2: Träume und Feuer," a fractured team of JSA and JLA heroes races to uncover a mystery tied to the Legion flight rings—one leading to Arkham Asylum and a mind-controlled Dream Girl, the other to Superman’s fortress, where a shocking presence named Wildfire has taken root. With two signals pulling them in opposite directions, the heroes must piece together the truth before the rings’ power spirals beyond control.
In "Die Lightning Saga, Kapitel 3: Selbstmord," the Justice League and Justice Society split into two teams to track down missing Legionnaires across time and space—Wildcat, Vixen, Flash, and Green Lantern head to Gorilla City in search of Timber Wolf, while Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Power Girl, and Red Arrow journey to Thanagar to find Dawnstar. Back on Earth, Black Canary and Mr. Terrific notice a strange pattern: each Legionnaire carries a 31st-century lightning rod, but their investigation stalls when six of the seven Legionnaires unexpectedly gather to discuss why they’ve come to the 21st century.
In "Die Lightning Saga, Kapitel 4: Die Legion der drei Welten," the Legion of Super-Heroes races toward Suicide Swamp to recover the last missing member from the 21st century, unaware that a combined team of JSA and JLA heroes has already arrived. As they locate Triplicate Girl, the abandoned Secret Society headquarters suddenly activates—Computo emerges, and one of her duplicate bodies is destroyed. Superman, struck by a haunting sense of déjà vu, realizes the battle may be a trick, but the Legion has already slipped away to fulfill their true objective.
In "Die Lightning Saga, Kapitel 5: Der Schurke ist in seiner Geschichte der Held," the Legion of Super-Heroes divides to raise lightning rods at pivotal sites, their desperate act drawing power that reshapes fate itself. As the JLA and JSA watch in silence, one hero’s sacrifice ignites a surge of lightning that brings Wally West and his family back from beyond, their return echoing through time. With the mission fulfilled, most of the Legionnaires prepare to return home—now with one unexpected companion in their wake.
