Justice League of America's Vibe #6
The cover of this New 52 entry says it all: Vibe is pinned and restrained by mechanical tentacles, his vibrational powers erupting in twin blue rippling waves from his fists as he screams against his captivity. Brett Booth and Norm Rapmund frame him in a tension-soaked composition that perfectly echoes the cover copy's grim promise — a hero who is simultaneously a threat to himself and to the world, with his only hope lying in his worst nightmare. Writer Sterling Gates and artist Pete Woods deliver what looks to be a genuinely high-stakes chapter for this young JLA member, and that raw, cornered energy on the cover makes it hard not to flip straight to page one.
