In "Power and Glory, Part One," Superman is drawn into a mysterious invitation from Infinity Corporation, where he receives a chilling warning about his fate. Superman is invited to the Infinity Corporation, where he is warned about his impending death. Meanwhile, Aquaman is summoned to Atlantis where a prophet informs him of the arrival of the "true god." At the same time, the rest of the JLA is lured to the new Metropolis Clean Energy Power Plant, where they are ambushed by a newly-released Parasite, who they put down with a late assist from Superman. After, Superman, Batman, and Cyborg return to the site of the Infinity Corporation, but find it missing. Their investigation is interrupted by the arrival of a being declaring himself to be Rao.
