With three deadly machines binding him to the planet and Green Arrow in his grasp, he hopes the League can stop the machines without realizing the true cost of their intervention. Written by Gardner Fox and illustrated by Mike Sekowsky, with inks by Bernard Sachs and letters by Gaspar Saladino, the cover by Murphy Anderson captures the tension of a hero in peril and a planet on the edge.

He activates three machines of destruction that hold him to Earth and takes Green Arrow hostage, hoping that the Justice League can deactivate the machines and free him.
