The two teams race to uncover Mr. Terrific's murderer, the Spirit King, before another hero falls. Both Zatanna and Huntress are injured before the heroes determine that the villain, having a long-standing grudge against him as well, has possessed the JSA's Flash. But before he can be apprehended, the Spirit King returns to Earth-2, leaving the JSA vowing to follow him and bring him to justice.
