Having tricked the JLA into helping him get back to the Ignition Point, Aut plans to destroy the Microverse, but Ryan comes up with a plan to stop him and save the Microverse. After Aut is defeated, Ray tells Ryan that he is a better Atom than Ray and urges him to take over the role permanently. Ray decides to stay in the Microverse to help repair the damage there, while Ryan and the JLA return home.
