“The Carnival of Souls!”

In "The Carnival of Souls!", the Justice League finds themselves trapped in a nightmarish trap set by the sinister Count Crystal at his eerie Vermont carnival, where the line between illusion and dread blurs. Written by Steve Englehart and brought to life with moody precision by Dick Dillin, Frank McLaughlin, and Tony Tollin, this 1977 classic sees the heroes face a chilling test of will and survival—only to rise again in the face of darkness. The cover, by Dick Dillin and Jack Abel, captures the story’s unsettling tone with haunting detail.
