In "God Against God," Orion and Jessica find themselves trapped in the clutches of Darkseid’s latest New Gods, Xotar and a twisted Cyborg, as the tide of war shifts in the shadows. Meanwhile, Blackfire, Dex-Starr, and Arla Hax fight their way through waves of mechoids to salvage the pieces needed to fix their ship. With reluctant help from Gamma Knife, the team prepares a daring rescue—no promises, just the weight of gods against gods.

In "Friends Like These," Jessica, Orion, and Gamma Knife push against the tide of the new New Gods as Xotar and a twisted Cyborg rise in power, while the mysterious Eskaton arrives to aid the fight. Elsewhere, Blackfire, Dex-Starr, and Arla Hax confront a time-shifting Lord of Time with a desperate mission to save the universe, all as Darkseid reassembles his forces for a final strike on Jessica.
