Justice League Dark #8
Part of DC's New Justice initiative, this 2019 installment opens "The Lords of Order" chapter with a cover that sets an immediately unsettling tone — multiple figures, including a woman in a top hat, appear trapped and engulfed within a cascade of molten golden energy, their expressions ranging from anguish to horror, while a skeletal presence looms at the top. The tagline "Bound by Fate!" promises that James Tynion IV's story will push the team into some very dark supernatural territory. Cover art by Álvaro Martínez Bueno and Raúl Fernández delivers a genuinely striking visual that earns its Teen Plus rating.
