“The Lords of Order Chapter 3”

Part three of "The Lords of Order" arc arrives in this 2019 installment of DC's New Justice era, and the cover by Yanick Paquette makes the stakes unmistakably clear. Swamp Thing surges forward at the center of the composition, flanked by a winged creature, Man-Bat, a figure in golden armor, a robed character wielding a dagger, and a mysterious woman in purple — the team battered but defiant against their enigmatic antagonists. With James Tynion IV scripting and Álvaro Martínez Bueno on interior art, this issue promises the kind of occult intensity that makes Justice League Dark such a compelling corner of the DC Universe.
