Jungle Girls #3
In "The Man Who Conquered Death," Tiger Girl confronts a terrifying ritual in the heart of the jungle when witch doctor Naygoa prepares slaves for the baboon god Bor-Uk-Nah. With the help of Chief Logumbe and her loyal tigers, she uncovers a shocking deception: the ghostly voice of his daughter Gayla is a trick orchestrated by the thieves Ramey and Nuchols, who are using the fear of the supernatural to steal gold. Written by Allan O'Hara and illustrated by Bill La Cava, with inks by Dick Giordano, this 1992 adventure blends mystery and myth in a tale where the line between spirit and scheme blurs. The cover by Bill Black captures the eerie intensity of the jungle temple, a haunting silhouette against the darkened sky.
