“Monstrosso, King of the Apes”

"Monstrosso, King of the Apes" delivers a wild, pulpy adventure from 1946, where Dr. Lane’s experiments with animal minds unleash chaos in the jungle. When two white hunters exploit his creation to eliminate Kaänga, their scheme spirals into disaster—leading to a deadly fall that claims them all. Frank Riddell’s story, illustrated with bold energy by Howard Larsen, pairs perfectly with Joe Doolin’s striking cover, capturing the raw tension of a jungle on the edge.
