Jungle Comics #39

Kaänga receives word through the jungle telegraph that a dangerous giant—Pomgo the Lion Man—has escaped from custody and is headed toward the Land of Laughing Bones to recover a cache of diamonds, so the jungle lord sets out to intercept him. When Zanzibar Sue and her monstrous companion ambush Ann Mason on the trail, Kaänga's trusted lion Topaz arrives to turn the tide of battle, but the encounter draws him into a deadly confrontation with Pomgo himself. As these titans of the jungle clash, Kaänga must decide whether to help Ann or pursue the fugitive through the treacherous wilderness.
