At a peace celebration, the Karongas betray the Bafwazis to Arab slavers. Camilla follows the slave caravan and frees the Bafwazis and hurries them back to their village to defend against the further attacks of the Karongas. The Bafwazis are triumphant and the Karongas install a new chief.
