Jumbo Comics #90 is an anthology featuring multiple stories, with the cover prominently displaying Sheena, Jungle Queen, in "Death Kraal of the Mastadons." In one featured story, Sheena and a companion named Bob are imprisoned in a stone cell by a red-bearded villain who gives them until tomorrow to surrender the jungle to him, while Sheena uses her mystical connection to summon the monsoon wind and warns of the man's treachery through the mystical forces of the place. Another story follows a character engaged in naval combat involving machine gun fire and sword combat aboard a ship, with dialogue referencing a radar transmitter and the pursuit of criminals; the story concludes with a promise of further adventures in next month's issue.

A detective named Murdoch corners a mysterious man claiming to be Azrael, demanding the return of a pair of ancient, fogged spectacles—and as Murdoch presents case after troubling case, it becomes clear these glasses show their wearers visions of terrible futures. When a schoolboy saw a bus driver's bloody fate, when a circus performer glimpsed her own death by fire, each vision seemed to come horrifyingly true, and now Murdoch demands answers about who Azrael really is and what power these "Eyes of Azrael" truly possess.
