Jughead with Archie Digest #128

The cover of this 1996 digest, penciled by Stan Goldberg and inked by Henry Scarpelli, captures a wonderfully chaotic art-world gag: Jughead proudly holds up a paint-splattered canvas while Archie admires it as "great, basic and primitive," and in the background, little Jellybean sits covered in dripping, multicolored paint — apparently the unwitting "work in progress" Jughead has in mind. It's the kind of warm, laugh-out-loud Riverdale humor that makes these digest collections such a treat, packing plenty of fun into every page.
