This March 1969 Archie Series gem puts Jughead front and center in full Ben Franklin costume — white wig, ruffled collar, and red colonial coat — much to the alarm of a flustered Mr. Weatherbee, who's clearly mistaken the getup for a "hippy outfit." A woman calmly sets him straight with the school-play explanation while another student looks on, making for a wonderfully funny slice of Riverdale chaos. Dan DeCarlo's expressive linework brings every panicked gesture and deadpan reaction to life with his signature charm.
