Judge Dredd the Megazine #6

This March 1991 Fleetway edition of Judge Dredd: The Megazine delivers a brooding, atmospheric cover by Sean Phillips — a darkly rendered, shadowy face looms large in the foreground while an armored Judge Dredd advances in the background, Lawgiver raised and visor gleaming in an eerie green palette. The tagline "Shock Judgement!" sets a suitably tense mood for what's inside, including Part 3 of "Al's Baby," written and fully illustrated by Carlos Ezquerra with lettering by Gordon Robson. Six issues in, this monthly 2000 AD presentation was already carving out its own distinct identity as a home for longer-form Dredd storytelling.
