Judge Dredd the Megazine #2

The second issue of Fleetway's Judge Dredd the Megazine arrives in November 1990 promising "Mega-Action! Mega-Death! Mega-Dredd!" — and Sean Phillips's cover art delivers exactly that mood, with a commanding, armored Judge Dredd standing front and center, law-book in gauntleted hands, while a second helmeted Judge looms large in the background and a small robotic figure lurks at the lower left. It's a richly painted composition that captures the grim authority of Mega-City One's finest with real weight and atmosphere. Inside, Alan Grant scripts "Midnite's Children, Part 2: The Midnite Club," brought to life entirely by Jim Baikie — pencils, inks, and colors — with lettering by Tom Frame.
