The blazing cover by J. H. Williams sets an urgent tone, as a black-masked, red-and-orange-costumed villain delivers a brutal blow to a yellow-clad hero while a screaming figure wearing clock-faced goggles and a gear-adorned cap looms above them all amid swirling temporal energy. The grim cover caption — "TIME TO DIE!" — leaves little doubt that "Out of Time, Part II" is raising the stakes considerably for the Justice Society. With Geoff Johns writing and Don Kramer and Keith Champagne on interior art, this December 2004 chapter looks like a genuinely tense ride.
