Journey into Mystery #98
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeFrom the November 1963 cover by Jack Kirby and Sol Brodsky, Thor swings Mjolnir in a crackling arc while the green-scaled Human Cobra — clinging impossibly to a wall in a contorted crouch — boasts that not even a Thunder God can match his power. Caught between them is a frightened young woman in a white dress, giving the scene an urgent, street-level stakes that grounds the clash nicely. Stan Lee and Don Heck deliver the interior fireworks in "Challenged by the Human Cobra!", and the issue sweetens the deal with bonus features including "Odin Battles the Ice Giants!" in Tales of Asgard.
