Josie and the Pussycats #94
In "Up Periscope," Melody finds herself the unexpected subject of a very unusual admirer—one who's been spying on her from the bushes with a periscope. It turns out the culprit is a little boy, utterly smitten by her charm, whose infatuation takes a surprisingly literal turn when Melody rewards his devotion with a kiss. Written by Frank Doyle and brought to life with Dan DeCarlo’s signature style—pencils and inks by DeCarlo and Rudy Lapick, colors by Barry Grossman, and letters by Bill Yoshida—this 1977 issue captures a sweet, whimsical moment in the Pussycats' world, all on a 30-cent cover by DeCarlo and Lapick.
