Jonah Hex #67
Jordi Bernet's cover for this 2011 issue sets an immediate mood: a scarred, battle-worn Jonah Hex strides forward through a deserted frontier street at blood-red dusk, revolvers at the ready, while a lone silhouetted figure waits in the background — an unmistakable setup for a showdown. The story title "Ghost Town" fits the eerie emptiness of that dust-blown main street perfectly. Writers Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti, paired with Bernet's gritty linework, made this run one of DC's most consistently satisfying Westerns of its era.
