Jordi Bernet's cover for this 2010 DC Western sets the tension perfectly: a scarred, grim-faced Jonah Hex rises above a cloud of trail dust, pistol raised, his Confederate-marked coat and battered hat framing a man who clearly doesn't intend to back down. Silhouetted against a blood-orange sky below him, a group of riders on horseback approach — outnumbered odds that Hex seems entirely unfazed by. With Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti steering the story and Bernet on art duties, "Riders on the Storm" looks like another sharp, atmospheric chapter in one of DC's most consistently gritty westerns.
