Jonah Hex #45

Part two of "The Six Gun War" arrives in this September 2009 installment of DC's fan-favorite Western series, with a cover by Cristiano Cucina that sets a thoroughly grim tone. Jonah Hex strides through a stormy, lightning-split night street, cigar in hand, while a massive skull and crossed revolvers dominate the foreground and grotesque figures lurk in the rain-soaked shadows around him. Gray and Palmiotti are deep into their six-part arc, and if this cover is any indication, Hex is walking straight into something far uglier than a fair fight.
