Phil Noto's cover for this October 2007 issue frames the action like a weathered dime-novel broadside, complete with the banner "Tales of Adventure and Danger" and a bottom subtitle reading "The Wizards of Electricity." Jonah Hex crouches in a shootout, pistol blazing, while a looming mechanical figure dominates the foreground — and medallion portraits of Edison and Tesla in the corners hint at the electrifying company he's keeping. Writers Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray clearly had a lot of fun dropping DC's scarred bounty hunter into the middle of one of history's most famous rivalries.
