“Criminal Sanity [Part 1]”

In "Criminal Sanity [Part 1]," Harley Quinn hunts the Joker, only to find him willingly surrendering to the authorities—setting off a chilling twist in their twisted dynamic. Flashbacks reveal the Joker’s origins in a brutal, morally charged spree, targeting abusers and drawing comparisons to Batman, not as a hero, but as a dark mirror. Written by Kami Garcia and illustrated by Jason Badower and Mico Suayan, with colors by Annette Kwok and letters by Richard Starkings and Tyler Smith, the issue’s cover by Francesco Mattina captures the uneasy tension at its core.

As Harley tries to track the Joker, he is planning his next murder of a victim found in a public place. Harley is then surprised when the Joker allows himself to be arrested. In flashback, we see the Joker start his killing ways by murdering parents who abused their kids, causing the media to compare him to Batman because he is going after those who deserve it.
