Joker / Harley: Criminal Sanity #2

The Joker's blood-smeared face dominates the lower half of Francesco Mattina's haunting cover for this DC Black Label entry, while a leather-jacketed Harley Quinn — portrayed here in a grounded, street-level style far removed from her usual flair — stands with her back to us in a decrepit, flame-lit warehouse, a menacing hook and chain dangling overhead. The composition creates an unsettling sense of dread, with the Joker's cold, half-lidded gaze lurking beneath her feet like a shadow she can't escape. Kami Garcia's psychological crime series continues to push both characters into genuinely dark territory, and this second issue promises the same tense, mature storytelling that makes Criminal Sanity stand apart from the Gotham mainstream.
