Joker / Harley: Criminal Sanity #2
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe Joker's blood-smeared face dominates the lower half of Francesco Mattina's haunting cover for this DC Black Label entry, while a leather-jacketed Harley Quinn — portrayed here in a grounded, street-level style far removed from her usual flair — stands with her back to us in a decrepit, flame-lit warehouse, a menacing hook and chain dangling overhead. The composition creates an unsettling sense of dread, with the Joker's cold, half-lidded gaze lurking beneath her feet like a shadow she can't escape. Kami Garcia's psychological crime series continues to push both characters into genuinely dark territory, and this second issue promises the same tense, mature storytelling that makes Criminal Sanity stand apart from the Gotham mainstream.

As Dr. Harley Quinn works alongside Jim Gordon and the Gotham City Police Department to identify the killer leaving bodies in creative poses, Harley suspects a connection to the Joker's first victim of 5 years earlier, Mick Kelly. In flashback, we see how Mick's abuse of his son John starts to send him down a twisted path, leading him to become the Joker.
