A wild collision of cartoon chaos headlines this December 1942 issue of Joker Comics, with a flustered policeman on a bicycle crashing headlong into a big-nosed pink figure on another bike, while a mischievous character in a red hat zooms away on a scooter clutching what appears to be a safe — all of them barreling past a "Detour: 1000 Ft. Drop" sign. Cover art by Mike Sekowsky and George Klein sets a wonderfully anarchic tone, and the row of character portraits along the bottom hints at the variety of funny personalities waiting inside for just a dime.
