John Wayne Adventure Comics #19

"Larsen's Folly" follows John Wayne as he becomes entangled in a scheme involving a bridge builder named Larsen who has hidden the key to the city of Menango in a boot, leading Wayne to carry dynamite to keep criminals at bay. When a rancher refuses to pay Larsen's head tax for crossing a bridge, gunmen are sent to force payment, but Wayne helps the rancher escape the trouble. Later, a young con artist named Billy attempts to swindle Wayne into rustling cattle, but Wayne sees through the scheme and instead uses Billy to warn the ranchers of danger, ultimately foiling the criminals' plans.
