Joe Palooka #9

This is an anthology issue containing at least two stories. "Drooten Island Mystery" follows a soldier named Jerry who encounters a woman named Melody on a tropical island; after she flees into the jungle, Jerry and fellow soldiers attempt to locate her, discovering she is afraid of them after they previously chased her. A second story features Joe Palooka's son and a character named Papa attempting to stop train bandits by using scientific calculations to derail a train, though their plan goes awry when the bandits unexpectedly arrive at the train yard ahead of schedule.
