Jodocus de barbaar #1

From Strip2000 comes the first issue of Jodocus de barbaar, the 2011 Belgian comics series created entirely by Marq van Broekhoven. The cover sets a lively comedic tone, showing a wide-eyed, dark-haired barbarian — quiver of arrows on his back — grinning broadly as he carries off a startled blonde princess in a white dress, jungle waterfall cascading behind them. With a story titled "Een prinses ontsnapt" ("A Princess Escapes"), this opening chapter promises plenty of slapstick adventure in a prehistoric setting brought to life with Van Broekhoven's cheerful, cartoony style.
