JLA: Classified #54
A massive, armor-banded figure raises a glowing object triumphantly skyward as the Justice League closes in from all sides — Superman and the Flash flanking him up close, with Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, and other Leaguers pressing in from the background. "Final Justice" blazes across the bottom of this 2008 issue, signaling a climactic conclusion to the five-part "That Was Now, This Is Then" arc from Roger Stern and John Byrne. Joshua Middleton's cover composition does a fine job of staging the tension, surrounding a clearly formidable threat with the full weight of DC's premier super-team bearing down on him.
