“New Maps of Hell -- Part Three”

In "New Maps of Hell — Part Three," the JLA confronts a cryptic mystery as six black parchments—each inscribed with green script from a different disaster zone—baffle even their combined intellects. With Warren Ellis scripting and Butch Guice’s striking art bringing the tension to life, the team’s efforts to decode the message lead to a terrifying activation in Las Vegas, unleashing something far beyond their understanding. Michael Stribling’s cover captures the dread of what’s to come, as the line between worlds begins to fray.

The JLA brings together 6 black parchments with green writing on them from each of the disaster areas, but cannot translate them. It is something so dangerous that the translations had to handled by separate specialists. J’Onn J’Onzz recognizes the puzzle and its potential implications. The translated code then activates a machine in Las Vegas… a machine that brings Hell on Earth!
