Jim Henson's Labyrinth #1
Jim Henson's Labyrinth #1 (2024, Boom! Studios) kicks off a visually rich journey with a fresh take on the beloved mythos, reimagining Sarah’s fateful wish as she confronts the consequences of her impulsive plea. Written by Kyla Vanderklugt alongside the original creative minds of the film—Jim Henson, Dennis Lee, Terry Jones, and A. C. H. Smith—and brought to life by Giorgio Spalletta’s expressive art and Sara Cuomo’s vivid colors, the issue captures the dreamlike tension of Sarah’s desperate race against time. Cover by Miguel Mercado sets the tone with a hauntingly elegant portrait of Jareth, the Goblin King, watching as Sarah steps into the labyrinth.
