Jim Henson Presents #2
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeJim Henson Presents #2 continues the first ongoing multi-property anthology dedicated entirely to the Jim Henson Company's fantasy universes in comic form, gathering Fraggle Rock, The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, The Storyteller, and Farscape under a single Archaia banner for the first time. The issue deepens Seanan McGuire and Countandra's multi-part excavation of Skeksis prehistory in The Dark Crystal — one of the few sustained attempts in any medium to build original, canonical lore around those creatures outside the films and Netflix series. By housing a Labyrinth story alongside two distinct Storyteller adaptations (one rooted in an African folk tradition) in the same issue, the series demonstrates that the anthology format can honour Henson's own philosophy of tonal range and cultural breadth within a single pamphlet. Its release on the same day as the second printing of the sold-out first issue signals strong enough reader enthusiasm to sustain multi-chapter serialised storytelling within what might otherwise have been a one-and-done anthology.

Jim Henson Presents was announced by BOOM! Studios in partnership with The Jim Henson Company as a four-issue limited series published under the publisher's Archaia imprint, an imprint with a track record of prestige Henson comics including The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, The Storyteller, and Labyrinth titles. Issue #1 sold out at the distributor level almost immediately after its January 8, 2025 on-sale date, prompting a second printing with new cover art by Danny Luckert that was released concurrently with issue #2 on February 12, 2025. Shannon Watters — co-creator of Lumberjanes and a former senior editor at BOOM! Studios — served as a central creative architect across the run, with individual stories handled by a rotating roster of writers and artists recruited specifically for each property.
