Jesters League of America #[nn]
In this 1967 gem from Topps, the Jester's League of America faces an utterly bizarre threat: a giant hand wielding a colossal eraser, sent by the very artist who draws them—Gil Kane, in a self-aware twist. Written by Roy Thomas and Len Brown, with art by Gil Kane and inks by Wally Wood, the story plays with metafiction as the artist, frustrated by crowded panels, literally wipes his characters off the page. Cover by Wally Wood captures the surreal moment with bold, expressive lines.

The Jester's League receive a threatening note. They ready themselves for action but are defeated by a large hand holding a giant-size eraser. The hand belongs to the artist of the strip who seems to resemble Gil Kane. The artist said he was tired of drawing so many characters in each panel, and that his solution was to erase them.
