Jersey Gods #12

Four flying figures streak across a golden, dot-halftone sky on this eye-catching cover by Michael Allred — a blond male hero in a dark blue uniform leads the charge, with a red-clad woman close behind him, and two more costumed figures trailing in the distance amid floating cosmic debris. Glen Brunswick and Dan McDaid's Image series wraps up its run with issue #12, and Allred's clean, retro-tinged linework gives the whole thing an irresistible sense of speed and scale. A fine send-off for one of 2010's most visually distinctive superhero books.
