Jennifer Blood #15

This 2012 Dynamite issue presents Jennifer Blood in a striking high-contrast black-and-white cover by Tim Bradstreet — a heavily armed young woman standing coolly against a dark, snow-flecked background, pistol at her hip and a long weapon in hand, radiating quiet menace. The stark, almost noir simplicity of the image does a lot of heavy lifting, making it clear this "Suggested for Mature Readers" series has teeth. Inside, Al Ewing continues the script with artist Kewber Baal bringing the story to life under the evocative chapter title "There's Good in Nearly Everyone" — which, given Jennifer's loaded silhouette, feels deliciously ironic.
