Jean Grey #4

This 2017 Marvel series continues to showcase the younger Jean Grey in fine form, and issue #4 promises a memorable team-up as the cover announces she "battles alongside the Unworthy Thor." David Yardin's cover depicts Jean at the center of the action, psychic energy blazing from her as she stands back-to-back with a shirtless, axe-wielding Thor, the two of them surrounded on all sides by a snarling horde of monstrous creatures — with Thor also clutching a glowing hammer wreathed in pink energy. Written by Dennis Hopeless with art by Harvey Tolibao and colors by Jay David Ramos, this is the kind of cross-Marvel mash-up that makes the shared universe feel genuinely alive.
