This Spanish-language collection presents the first issue of the six-issue Checkmate miniseries from DC Comics, originally published in the US. It features the espionage and political intrigue of the Checkmate organization, written by Greg Rucka with art by Jesús Saiz and others. This edition is part of ECC Ediciones' Jaque Mate series, which reprints the US Checkmate (2006) storyline in Spanish for the first time.
