James Bond #1
A sharp, stylish James Bond crouches in the shadows of a sleek, industrial environment on Jason Masters' moody cover — all cool confidence and coiled readiness in a burnt-orange suit against deep blue-grey machinery. Warren Ellis and Jason Masters bring Ian Fleming's 007 to Dynamite Entertainment in this 2016 series opener, with colorist Guy Major lending the palette a cinematic, noir-tinged atmosphere. If the cover is any indication, VARGR promises a contemporary Bond with real edge — Brian K. Vaughan's blurb on the cover itself calls it "the best contemporary take on 007," and it's easy to see why he was moved to say so.
