Jade #11
This 2011 issue of Jade, the French modern comics review from 6 Pieds Sous Terre, tackles a theme very much of its moment: "Internet, Numérique et Bande Dessinée" — the digital revolution reshaping the comics world. Terreur Graphique's cover, rendered in bold black and yellow, sets the tone perfectly: a wide-eyed cartoonist sits hunched over their work at a cluttered desk, while an ominous shadowy creature looms behind them and a pinned drawing of a grenade hints at the tensions ahead. With 88 pages of content and contributions including Yvang and writer Maël Rannou exploring "La révolution numérique," this issue is a spirited snapshot of Franco-Belgian comics grappling with the digital age.
