Jack Staff #14
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freePaul Grist's bold, witty cover for this 2008 Image issue says it all: a grotesque, leering Mr. Punch — jester hat, checkered costume, and slapstick baton in hand — has a grip on Jack Staff himself, Britain's Greatest Hero, dangling him like a puppet while gleefully declaring "That's the way to do it!" A banner at the bottom also teases the return of Alfred Chinnard, whose portrait peers out with quiet intensity against the blazing yellow background. It's a wonderfully unsettling piece of cover art that captures the series' unique blend of British folklore and superhero adventure.
