Riri Williams tumbles through a storm of shattered armor fragments on Amy Reeder's striking cover — pink, gold, and black pieces of the Ironheart suit exploding outward in every direction while Riri herself, in street clothes with a lone armored gauntlet on one hand, looks on with wide-eyed intensity at a chest piece still glowing with that familiar heart symbol. Eve L. Ewing's Ironheart series has been one of Marvel's most compelling teen-hero titles, and this 2019 issue promises high stakes for Riri as her suit — and perhaps much more — seems to be coming apart at the seams. Reeder's clean linework and Matt Milla's warm yellow backdrop make the chaos feel both urgent and beautifully composed.
