“When Giants Walk the Earth!”

In "When Giants Walk the Earth!", former Power Man Erik Josten, now known as the Smuggler, seeks a new beginning with Doctor Malus’s experimental growth serum—only to rise as the towering Goliath. When he clashes with Iron Man, the battle escalates quickly, forcing Tony Stark to call in reinforcements from the West Coast Avengers. Bob Harras and Luke McDonnell deliver a high-stakes showdown with bold visuals, while the cover by McDonnell and Akin captures the sheer scale of the conflict.

Ever since starting his career as a super-villain, Erik Josten went from bad to worse. Starting out as the original Power Man, he was defeated by one villain after another, eventually changing his costumed identity to Smuggler. Now, he is down and out and has contacted Doctor Malus to give him new growing powers. As Goliath, he defeats Iron Man, but is in turn defeated when Iron Man is joined by his West Coast Avengers buddies Wonder Man and Hawkeye.
