“Trade War”

In "Trade War," Tony Stark grapples with a devastating betrayal: his own company secretly sold nuclear materials to AIM after Rhodey demanded they exit the weapons trade. Still wheelchair-bound, Tony sends an LMD to negotiate the return of the shipment—only for MODAM to expose the ruse and destroy the robot. Forced to take control of the Iron Man armor himself, Tony fights back against MODAM and AIM, but the battle takes a sudden turn when Omega Red arrives, hunting MODAM with lethal intent. Written by Len Kaminski and illustrated by Kevin Hopgood, with inks by Steve Mitchell, colors by Ariane, and letters by Phil Felix, this 1993 issue features a cover by Kevin Hopgood and Steve Mitchell.

Tony learns that when Rhodey demanded that Stark Enterprises get out of the nuke business, his company sold nuclear material to AIM to turn a profit. Still confined to a wheelchair, Tony sends an LMD in his place to offer to buy the shipment back. Sniffing out the ruse, MODAM has her troops destroy the Stark robot. Tony remotely controls the Iron Man armor to battle MODAM and AIM. That is, until Omega Red shows up looking for MODAM's head.
